I always say that knowing and understanding how the process of production works is an essential aspect of consuming with consciousness. The brand should show concern about the way their product is going to impact the world.

The concept of cruelty-free is used to classify products and brands that don’t cause any harm or death to animals. It’s worth checking and researching before you buy any product. Pay attention product labels, sites and also check if they are certified with the Leaping Bunny Program.

Even though many countries, especially the US, are working towards banning all beauty products that are animal tested and are bettering regulations, there are still many brands that unfortunately test on animals.

As for many people, and especially for Rock Candy Beauty and me, this is a genuine and increasingly important concept, so I’ve decided to set up a list of some of my favorite cruelty-free brands that you can find here in the US or online.

Rock Candy Beauty

I can say with great pleasure that Rock Candy Beauty, my favorite brand, is not only cruelty-free but also vegan and organic. The sensation of having good quality products with all these benefits is fantastic.

Check out our site and Instagram profile to find out more about the inspiring movements and great spray on makeup they offer. This brand truly works to keep your skin flawless and glowing.

The Body Shop

The Body Shop offers the most amazing and iconic products for skin and body care, fragrances, makeup and hair products.

They also offer peace of mind, helping campaign against animal testing in the beauty industry for 30 years. Standing up for many other campaigns and causes such as Enrich Not Exploit, Re-wild The World and Community Trade Plastics, this brand is really doing their share in making a difference.

Bare Minerals

Bare Minerals is one of those beautiful brands that believe in women and empowerment. Because of this, their project, The Power of Good Fund, has helped women and girls all over the world.

Besides helping make the world a better place, their products include natural ingredients and great formulas to take care of your skin.

100% Pure

The most nourishing and purest brand around, 100% Pure is environmentally sustainable. On their website, they have an impressive A to Z “No” list with ingredients they don’t use. No synthetics, no toxins, no fillers, and all organic ingredients and of course, everything is animal-friendly.

This is another brand I adore! NYX is perfect to find makeup to suit any style. Whether you want pouting lips, enhanced eyes or peachy cheeks, here you can find all the right products. NYX have vegan goals and are also cruelty-free.

Cover Girl

Cover Girl is the largest makeup brand to be Leaping Bunny Certified by Cruelty-Free International today. They boast professional, star quality makeup that is accessible and attends all skin types and styles.

Their best sellers include lipsticks, mascaras, and eyeliners.

Lime Crime

The colorful and upbeat brand, Lime Crime is also certified vegan and animal-friendly, both by The Leaping Bunny Program and PETA.

They are a proud and passionate company when it comes to their furry friends, and obviously, their products are stunning and perfect to use for a number of occasions.

I could go on for ages with all the brands I love that support and fight for animal rights. Thankfully, cruelty-free products are growing in popularity every single day!

If you are also an animal lover who wants to make the world a better place, why not support the cruelty-free movement and brands that take on these causes? With them, we can be animal-friendly, have the best quality products, take care of our world, and still look stunning.
